Camp Verde, Arizona
Sourdough that ferments for 48 hours. Pastries built from scratch, not shortcuts. Groceries chosen with the same patience we bring to every loaf.
What We Make
Every item is made in small batches, with ingredients we can trace and techniques we refuse to shortcut.
48-hour cold ferment. Thick, crackling crust. Open, irregular crumb. The kind of bread that makes you slow down.
Butter croissants, fruit tarts, danishes — each batch laminated by hand and baked to order. What's in season drives the menu.
Local honey, olive oils, artisan cheeses, and pantry staples from producers we know by name. Nothing on the shelf we wouldn't keep at home.
Cakes, loaves, and gift boxes for events and gatherings. Tell us what you need — we'll make it happen with the same care as everything else.
Our Story
Chateau Tumbleweed started with a simple conviction: that the food people eat every day deserves the same intention as the meals they save for special occasions. We opened our doors in Camp Verde to bake bread the old way — long ferments, simple ingredients, hands-on from start to finish.
What began as a one-oven dream has grown into a neighborhood staple, but the standard hasn't changed. We still start before dawn. We still turn down shortcuts. We still believe that the difference between good and great is measured in hours, not minutes.
